This help file describes all functions available within SEMS. User accounts may be limited in what functions can be performed and/or what forms a specific user can work with.
Navigating Through Tables
SEMS is a table-driven system. When a form (also known as a "form") is opened, it provides a view of the data for a specific data table. Navigate through the records in the table using the arrow icons on the toolbar or by pressing arrow buttons on the keyboard.
Navigating In Forms
Forms are made up of individual blocks (for example, each tab on a form might be a different block) that can be navigated by clicking in the block of interest, by clicking the double arrow icons on the toolbar or through keyboard shortcuts.
See Toolbar Icons for an explanation of each icon and its equivalent keystroke combination.
Form Structure
Many forms have a parent/child relationship, with one block of the form dictating what appears in the other blocks. For example, in the form below, the content in the bottom and right of the form changes based on what is selected in the left of the form.
